Services

Thoughtful psychiatric evaluation and treatment, without the rushed medication check.

Sprout Psychiatry provides psychiatric evaluation and ongoing treatment for adults throughout Washington State. Care is collaborative and individualized, with time to understand not only your symptoms, but also the person experiencing them.

Psychiatric Evaluation

Good treatment starts with getting the diagnosis right.

Your initial evaluation is an opportunity to slow down and develop a comprehensive understanding of what you're experiencing. We'll discuss your current concerns, psychiatric and medical history, medications, relationships, functioning, and relevant experiences throughout your life.

Symptoms often overlap between conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders. Rather than beginning with a predetermined diagnosis, we'll consider the different possibilities and develop a treatment plan based on the whole picture.

Initial Psychiatric Evaluation — $295

Medication Management

Medication can be an important part of psychiatric treatment, but prescribing isn't simply about matching a diagnosis to a medication.

We'll discuss your options together, including expected benefits, potential side effects, alternatives, and your own preferences about treatment.

Follow-up appointments allow us to evaluate how you're doing, make adjustments when needed, and reconsider our approach when something isn't working.

Follow-Up Appointments — $195

Psychodynamically-informed Psychiatry

Symptoms don't occur in isolation.

Dr. Taylor takes a relational and psychodynamically-informed approach to psychiatric care. Alongside diagnosis and medication management, treatment can consider personality, relationships, recurring patterns, and the experiences that have shaped how you understand yourself and others.

This perspective can be particularly helpful when symptoms are complicated, diagnoses overlap, or medication alone doesn't seem to explain the whole picture.

Medication can be part of treatment without becoming the entire treatment relationship.

Psychotherapy-informed Care

Psychotherapeutic work may be incorporated into psychiatric appointments when appropriate.

Rather than separating symptoms from the rest of your experience, we may explore emotional patterns, relationships, conflicts, coping strategies, and how past experiences influence the present.

Sprout does not require you to receive psychotherapy here. Many clients work with an outside therapist, and collaboration with your therapist can be an important part of treatment when you give us permission to communicate.

A Whole Person Approach

Mental health is influenced by more than medication.

Sleep, exercise, relationships, substance use, nutrition, stress, physical health, and daily routines can all affect how we feel and function. These factors may be incorporated into treatment when relevant.

When supplements or other non-prescription approaches are considered, recommendations are guided by available evidence, potential risks and benefits, and your individual health history.
